One of the few if not the only farms in Britain to rear and slaughter at their own BRC approved Butchery and Abattoir. When we were looking for where to buy venison, we were delighted to find them at Downfield Farm. We use their beef, lamb and venison because we believe it makes the best charcuterie in our business.

Proud Owners

On 31 March 2019 John Hutchison retired from Ceres Butchers and we took over ownership. We immediately started supplying the shop with our own Galloway beef and Scotch lambs. Our Stagison farmed venison is also available fresh in the shop with new products such as venison black pudding, venison steak and gravy pies. All of which are made on the premises.
